Richmond Park

EN: One of my favorite parks in London is Richmond Park.
I love it because I fell close to the wildlife and wilderness. The main roads are crowded with bikes and make me feel I am on the tour of France. Someone needs to remind people it is a park and there are animals around; they need some bumpers to slow down. 🙂
That was the only negative remark regarding the park, now let’s focus only on the good ones.
In case you didn’t know, Richmond Park has protected status as essential habitat for wildlife and is a National Nature Reserve, London’s largest Site of Special Scientific Interest, and a European Special Area of Conservation.
Richmond Park is one of London’s eight Royal Parks and covers an area of 2500 acres.
Last year, when it was the hottest day, I decided to go to Richmond Park for the first time. It was such a good idea. The air was more breathable, and it was such a pleasant surprise to see the herds of deer and their little fawns. I love animals, and I am delighted that somehow if we wanted, we can live in harmony with nature and animals, at least now, because, in the beginning, the park was used for hunting during King Charles I in 1625.
My second trip there was this spring. I also meet the deers and enjoy a little bit of nature in this loud and fascinating city.
Of course, on both visits, I didn’t manage to visit everything, and on my list for the next trip is Isabela Plantation, which was close because of the pandemic.
The long history behind the park started with Edward (1272-1307), when the area was known as the Manor of Sheen. Then, during Henry VII’s reign, its name changed to Richmond.
OK, OK, let’s leave history behind, and let’s see what nature offers us through my pictures! Enjoy it!

Impresionant, nu-i asa?!

A doua mea escapada aici a fost in acest an, in timpul primaverii.

Apoi, in perioada domniei lui Henry VII si-a schimbat numele in Richmond.

EN: Pictures are taken by Ada@ and are RAW format, some of them doesn’t look perfect because of the phone zoom, also one of the rules it is to keep the distance from the deers especial when the have fawns.
