The legend of Sleipnir

by Ada@

I had the opportunity to participate at a beautiful experience, a horse theatre performance  that honor the origin and story of the Icelandic Horse.

They story said, in Norse mythology, Sleipnir is the 8 legend horse ridden by Odin, the king of the pagan Gods. Sleipnir is the offspring of the mischievous god Loki and the stallion Svadilfari. Sleipnir is referred to in the lore as the best of all horses, and is described as  being grey in color, as well as being unsurprisingly very fast.

This horse theatre performance it is structure in 8 parts and it takes about 45 min. The show it is a story told by the horses: The beginning, The hidden people, The workhorse, A ghost story, The family Horse, Friendship, The competition and Fire and ice.

I was meting for the first time the Icelandic horses, and for a East-European girl  this horses are like pony:))) and they are gently, with beautiful color and very friendly.

And this is Me:) ( for the first time in my life riding a horse)

So, like an advice, if you visit Iceland you have to [ADA]EXPLORE this performance of the horses;):)
